The Principle Of The Multiplier's Effect

2 Kings 4:1-6 paints a picture of a widow whose husband died, leaving his wife with huge debts to pay. So, she came running to Elisha, hoping to receive money from him since her husband was a faithful son of the Prophet Elisha. But Elisha said unto her, "What hast thou in the house?" And she replied, "I have not anything in the house, save a pot of oil." To her, what she had was not enough, but Elisha still said unto her, "Go."
Friend, many of us who God has called into ministry are like this widow, always thinking, "What I have is not enough to affect people." So, you go to God seeking more revelation and power because you feel that the revelation you have is too little to shake nations. To you, "Nobody will want to listen to me." But despite this, Elisha still said, "Go," and told her to gather empty vessels to fill with the oil. No matter the little light you have from the word, there are empty vessels that do not have the little you carry. What you call nothing is something to somebody.
The Lord is telling you today that you do not need more revelation and anointing before you "go." No, all you need is to find empty vessels to fill them up with what you have. No matter who you are and what little you think you have, there are always empty vessels for you to fill. So, "Go" and do what God has called you to do!
In 2 Kings 4:1-7, when the widow borrowed empty vessels to fill, the Bible said it came to pass that the vessels were full and there was no more empty vessels to fill. Friend, there is an effect called the multiplier's effect; it's the anointing of increase. When you use the little light you have to fill empty vessels, the multiplier's effect, which is the anointing of increase, will come on you. While you are filling empty vessels with the little light you have seen, this anointing comes on you and "multiplies your seed sown" (2 Corinthians 9:10), which causes an "increase."
The word is the seed (Mark 4:14), so this anointing multiplies the level of insight you have on the inside. When this happens, suddenly you start having more revelations from the Word, and you start seeing things you have not seen before from the scriptures. This is a result of the multiplier's effect, but you cannot get there if you "despise the day of small things" (Zechariah 4:10). Until you start using what you have to affect people, you are not qualified for more.
The five loaves and two fishes that fed five thousand also experienced the multiplier's effect because it filled empty stomachs (Mark 6:34-45). You may have entered into ministry with five loaves and a little pot of oil, but do not despise small things. The word of God has the ability to grow and multiply (Acts 12:24). But you must engage the principle of "use" before you can see the effect of the multiplier on you! There are empty vessels everywhere to fill, find them. Note, if you stop engaging the principle of "use," the multiplier's effect will cease, just like the widow; the moment she stopped borrowing more vessels to fill, the "oil stayed." The multiplier's effect will be pulled away because you ignored the principle of the multiplier's effect!
Friends, engage this principle, and your little one shall become a thousand, and your small one a strong nation! Remain blessed! Jesus is Lord.
Jesus is Lord!
